Extension in Puttenham

Designed and built this wrapped extension. The spec was challenging as we had two sides fully open with bifold’s, so we had to design the roof structure to be able to support itself, raising the outside patio area to bring all areas together. The finish was contemporary using modern kitchen style with natural flooring materials, in this case polished travertine, giving the finish the client wanted. Making use of even a small piece of exterior space can really add to the internal feel of a property by opening it up. We were happy with this one.

Clients approached us wanting their recently acquired property to be completely renovated. Having previously been sat empty for four years we had a task on our hands. We sympathetically sanded back and smoothed all existing oak beams, finishing with a natural wax, replaced any rotten beams with reclaimed same aged timbers, re-wired, plumbed, updated bathrooms, re plastered, decorated, laid new floorings and sorted out the fireplaces. We also cleared the overgrown gardens and re-laid to lawn and planted a wild meadow area. Only using reclaimed materials and traditional building methods, this project was one we all enjoyed.

With a growing family our clients in Godalming approached us to build an extension and to open plan their existing space. Working with the family still living in the premises we undertook the build, with the plan being to bring the current property up to a modern living standard. By using neutral colours and natural flooring materials a striking kitchen was created and the inside space was remodelled, with the k-rend plaster finish to the exterior leaving the property looking like new.

Complete rebuild of existing Granary, designed and aided with drawings for planning submission and scaffolding licenses, conversion to gym room. We had to keep two of the existing walls which were on neighbouring properties, so care was taken to not be a disruption. We handcrafted and installed aesthetic Oak Trusses to give character to the space, hidden tile vents help ventilate the roof space whilst not being seen by the eye from the ground. Remote controlled velux’s help give light to the room and with fitted electrical blinds any glare can be blocked out with the push of a button. The site was a challenge due to the proximity to neighbouring boundaries. A challenge we were happy to take on.
